Roasting
Plan the day. Roast it. Reconcile it.
Roastnet plans your roast day against real demand, hands the plan to Factory on the device next to the machine, and reconciles yield and stock the moment a batch drops. Every coffee carries its profile, its cupping scores, and its history.

A roast schedule that knows what is owed.
Open orders, standing wholesale deliveries, subscription cycles, and safety stock all feed the planner. Set the planning horizon, the preferred roast days, the working hours, and the consolidation rules. The plan suggests itself.
- Auto-plan threshold so small orders queue until they justify a batch.
- Safety-stock percentage per product so popular coffees never run out.
- Consolidate same-coffee orders into single batches.
- Prioritise urgent or contract-deadline orders to the front of the day.
Every roast lands in Roastnet, automatically.
Factory captures the roast live. When the batch drops, the curve, the events, the weight loss, the operator, and the machine all sync to Roastnet. The retail and wholesale tabs see the new stock instantly. No re-entry, no end-of-day reconciliation.
Profiles that learn from every batch.
Save any roast as a reusable profile. Each profile tracks how many times it has been run, the average weight loss, and the average cupping score across every batch on it. The profile gets sharper the more you roast.
- Reusable curves with versioning so old batches stay reproducible.
- Average loss percentage and SCA score across all uses.
- Per-machine profile variants for split-roaster fleets.
- Notes from the operator on what to watch on this profile.
Cuppings, linked to the batch that produced them.
Score by the SCA cupping form. Capture taints, faults, brew method, and tasting notes. Every cupping is tied to a specific roast, which is tied to a specific green lot, which means a flaw in the cup traces all the way back to the bag in the silo.
- Full SCA cupping form: fragrance, flavour, aftertaste, acidity, body, balance, sweetness, clean cup, uniformity, overall.
- Taints and faults logged per cup so a bad bag is caught early.
- Brew method tracked for repeatable evaluations.
- Cupping score rolls up to the profile and the lot.
Single-origins, blends, and contract recipes.
Recipes define what a coffee is made of and how it is sold. Single-origin recipes carry one lot. Blends carry percentage splits across multiple coffees, with cost-per-kilo rolled up automatically. Contract recipes define what you roast for someone else's label.
Smart planning (beta)
Optional AI assistance for the roast plan.
Pro-plan roasters can turn on the AI planning assistant. It reads open orders, subscription demand, and historical patterns, then drafts a schedule for the operator to approve. Confidence threshold and monthly budget cap are configurable. Off by default, on if you want it.
Charge, dry end, first crack, drop. Detected automatically.
Factory's heuristic engine watches the curve and marks the stages without anyone touching the screen. Sensitivity is configurable: conservative, normal, or aggressive. Operators can override any stage manually, and the override is logged.
Bring your roast day onto Roastnet.
Plan tomorrow's day now. Hand it to Factory on the roaster's device. Watch the curve land back in the cloud as the batch drops.
