Software Licence

01What this licence covers

This licence covers the Roastnet Factory desktop application, the Roastnet mobile app, and the software you access through the Roastnet platform, together with updates, documentation and any bundled components (the "Software"). It forms part of the Terms of Service.

02Licence grant

Roastnet Ltd grants your business a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Software for your own internal business operations while your account is in good standing. Team members you invite may use the Software under your licence.

03Restrictions

Except as the law expressly allows, you must not:

• copy, modify, translate or create derivative works of the Software;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble it, or attempt to derive its source code;
• sell, rent, lease, sublicense or distribute it, or use it to provide a service to third parties;
• remove or alter any proprietary notice, trade mark or licence key;
• use it to build a competing product.

04Hardware and roasting

The Factory app can connect to roasting machines and sensors. You are responsible for safe operation of your equipment, for following the manufacturer's instructions, and for supervising every roast. The Software does not replace the controls, alarms or safety systems of your equipment, and readings may be delayed or inaccurate.

05Updates and data

We may release updates that add, change or remove features. Some updates may be required to keep using the Software. The Software may send diagnostic and usage information to us to keep it secure and working, as described in the Privacy Policy.

06Third-party components

The Software includes open-source and third-party components licensed under their own terms. Those terms govern those components, and nothing in this licence restricts rights they grant you.

07App stores

If you download a Roastnet app from an app store, this licence is between you and Roastnet Ltd, not the store operator. The store operator has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app.

08Ownership, warranty and termination

The Software is licensed, not sold; all rights not expressly granted remain with Roastnet Ltd and its licensors. The Software is provided "as is", and the warranty and liability terms of the Terms of Service apply. This licence ends when your account closes or if you breach it, and you must then stop using and delete the Software.
