Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 9 October 2026

01Who this applies to

This policy applies to everyone who uses the Roastnet platform, apps, green market, storefronts, cafe portals, Market API or MCP tools, including team members, API clients and AI agents acting for a member. It forms part of the Terms of Service.

02Honest trading

  • List only coffee you own or are authorised to sell, and describe it accurately: origin, process, grade, crop year, moisture, weight and availability.
  • Do not misrepresent who you are, your business, certifications or the provenance of a lot.
  • Samples you provide must be genuinely representative of the lot offered.
  • Do not use the market to contact the other party in a Roastnet-held trade to identify them or to move that trade off the platform.

03Prohibited conduct

  • Breaking any law, including sanctions, export control, anti-money-laundering, anti-bribery, food safety and import rules.
  • Listing goods that are counterfeit, stolen, unsafe, mislabelled or subject to a ban or recall.
  • Scraping, bulk-downloading or harvesting market data, prices or member details outside the Market API and its terms.
  • Probing, scanning or testing the Service for vulnerabilities, except under our responsible disclosure process.
  • Interfering with the Service, overloading it, or bypassing rate limits, access controls or payment flows.
  • Uploading malware, or content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing or infringes the rights of others.
  • Sending spam or unsolicited marketing to other members.

04AI agents and automation

Automated tools and AI agents may act only through the Market API, the MCP tools or the published interfaces, under a key issued to your business. You are responsible for every action they take, including orders, listings and messages, as if you had taken it yourself.

05Enforcement

We may remove content or listings, cancel unconfirmed orders, revoke API keys, and suspend or close accounts that breach this policy. Where the law allows, we will tell you why. Serious breaches may be reported to the relevant authorities.

06Reporting

Report misuse to [email protected], and security issues to [email protected].
