Delivery Terms

Last updated: 9 October 2026

01When these terms apply

These terms apply when Roastnet arranges delivery of green coffee: for every Roastnet-held roaster lot and origin lot, and for importer lots where the buyer chooses to ship with Roastnet. The delivery service runs only in countries where it is offered, currently the United Kingdom.

02Quotes and invoices

Delivery is quoted at checkout, or later for a confirmed importer order, based on weight, pallets or packages and route. Prices are shown plus VAT. For importer lots, delivery is invoiced by Roastnet separately from the importer's invoice for the coffee.

03Booking

Collection is booked only once payment has been received, by card or bank transfer. You will receive updates when collection is scheduled, when the coffee is collected and when it is delivered. Delivery dates are estimates.

04Blind consignments

Roaster lots held by Roastnet are sent as blind consignments. Roastnet is named as consignor on all documents; the buyer's paperwork does not show the seller and the seller's collection note does not show the buyer. Sellers must remove their own branding before collection. Importer deliveries are not blind.

05Packing and readiness

The party handing over the coffee must have it ready at the booked time, packed to protect it in transit, palletised where required, and accurately described in weight and number of packages. Failed collections and waiting time caused by the coffee not being ready may be charged.

06Receiving delivery

The buyer must make sure someone can receive the delivery, check the number and condition of packages, and note any visible damage or shortage on the delivery note before signing. Damage or loss must be reported in Roastnet within 48 hours of delivery with photographs.

07Carriers and liability

Roastnet uses independent carriers and logistics providers. Their liability for loss, damage or delay is limited by their standard conditions of carriage and, for international road transport, by the applicable international conventions, usually by weight or per consignment. The current list of providers is available on request from [email protected].

Roastnet's own liability for a delivery it arranges is limited to the lower of the value of the goods affected and [PLACEHOLDER: delivery liability cap], except where the law does not allow this.

08Insurance

Roastnet arranges goods in transit cover for deliveries it arranges, subject to the policy's terms and limits. [PLACEHOLDER: insurance cover level and excess] You may wish to hold your own cover for higher values.

09Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory local law provides otherwise. [PLACEHOLDER: solicitor to confirm governing law and jurisdiction]
