Market API Terms
Last updated: 9 October 2026
01What these terms cover
Roastnet offers a REST Market API and MCP tools so that importers' stock systems, roasters' systems and AI agents can list lots, read the market, place and manage orders and receive event notifications (together, the "API"). These terms apply in addition to the Terms of Service, the Acceptable Use Policy and the Green Market Terms. Technical documentation is published at https://network.roastnet.ai/developers/market-api.
02API keys
API keys are issued to a business from the network portal. A key acts as your business: every listing, order, confirmation or message made with it binds your business as if made by you in the app.
- Keep keys secret, store them securely and never put them in client-side code or public repositories.
- Give each system or agent its own key so that it can be revoked on its own.
- Revoke a key immediately if you think it has been exposed, and tell [email protected].
03Rate limits and fair use
We apply rate limits and quotas to protect the Service. Limits may differ by endpoint and may change. Do not try to get round them, for example by spreading traffic across several keys or accounts. Requests over a limit may be refused.
04Use of market data
Market data (lots, prices, availability and related information) is provided for your own buying, selling and stock management.
- Do not resell, republish or redistribute market data, or use it to build a competing marketplace or price index.
- Do not use the API to identify the other party in a trade where Roastnet keeps that party private.
- Keep data you hold up to date: listings you push must reflect real, available stock and current prices.
- Personal data received through the API must be handled under data protection law and the Data and GDPR terms.
05MCP tools and AI agents
You may connect AI agents to Roastnet through the MCP tools. You remain fully responsible for every action an agent takes with your key, including orders and commitments to buy or sell. Configure agents so that a person in your business approves orders and other binding actions where that matters to you. Roastnet is not liable for an agent acting on wrong, incomplete or misread information.
06Webhooks
If you register webhook endpoints, verify every delivery with the signing secret we give you and reply promptly. We may retry, delay or disable deliveries to an endpoint that keeps failing.
07Changes, no warranty and liability
We may change, version or retire parts of the API, and will give reasonable notice of breaking changes where we can. The API is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error free or fit for a particular purpose. The liability terms of the Terms of Service apply.
08Suspension and revocation
We may throttle, suspend or revoke a key or your API access at any time if we reasonably believe it is being misused, is a security risk, or breaches these terms. Your access ends automatically when your account closes.
